The Legend of Wearing Gold and Silver
In addition to wearing gold in the head and face, Egyptian women prefer to wear gold bracelets or bracelets. On the customs, there is a touching legend.
In the past, there was a poor person, her husband died. Although home penniless, but the young wife determined by their own hands to support her mother-in-law. Every day the woman worked in a wealthy family, but wages was minimal. Driven to despair, she came up with a way: do not wash her hands before going home. This can make the flour sticky on her hands for the mother to eat.
There was a heavy rain, it’s thundering and lightning. The woman was very afraid that because she stole the people’s flour, the God got angry. Then she closed her eyes and stretched out his hands to let the God split them off. After a burst of thunder sound, she opened his eyes, surprise to find a golden bracelet on the hand.
Later, other women also found a golden bracelet on the hand. And then, wearing a bracelet became a symbol of the younger generation showing filial piety to the elders.

The Whim Design
In the 1940s, Eric, a retired British officer settling in Kenya, saw a number of animals in a small lake from morning to night. He had a sudden whim to build a few houses on a large tree beside the lake and lived with his beloved wife. Later, they also accepted tourists on trees.
The early Treetops hotels were completely built in large tree’s limb, with the whole wooden structure. They were relatively simple and belonged to the smaller “houses on stilts”. It provided wildlife viewing services to British military officials and Western explorers in Kenya.
Later, a large-scale expansion was started next to the site. The current building is still basically the whole wooden structure and maintains the original style and rustic simplicity. The large tree branches become dozens of large wooden pillars. The bottom of the building is hanging high. There are three different levels with guest rooms, viewing corridors and wide viewing platforms.
