2005年新春，《大地行吟》在诸多同志的关心敦促下初版印行。
回想当初，我本没有将这本册子出版的打算。诗言志、歌缘情，诗歌特别是古体诗词形式的作品，是最具个人化性质的东西，是情志所至的一种自然流露，容不得修饰，不像其他文学类作品，可以铺排，甚至可以遮掩，所以对付诸出版一直比较犹豫。但禁不住朋友、同事们的鼓励与催促，想到这些诗注释较多，尚有一定的知识性、趣味性、可读性，同时把自己世纪之初的所感所想整理一番，不致于佚落，可供日后闲暇时翻捡，也就应允了下来，于是，便有了这本薄薄的诗集。
在生活和工作中我是一个删繁就简的人，写文章写诗亦如此。《大地行吟》中的诗章，虽然均以格律诗词形式加以表现，但并没有绝对遵从格律和词牌的约束，在平仄、对仗、音韵等形式要素上没有做过分的追求，仅仅要求达到语言上的朴素通晓、节奏上的简洁明快、文字的朗朗上口。总体上说，这只是一个党政干部从文学的角度感受、观察和认识自然、历史、社会与时代的朴拙之作。
由于忙于公务，诗集的整理，曾延宕了近一年时间，甚至比写作浪费的时间还长，以致于编辑此书的同志再三催促。令我没有想到的是，2005年春《大地行吟》问世后，竟得到了不少赞誉，友人们十分喜爱这册图文编排浑然一体，内容也算晓畅亲切的诗集。两年过去了，又是一年春好时。自治区外办的同志们出于对外宣传的考虑，有意将此书以中英文对照的方式再版印行，想到这本诗集的大部分内容的确与宁夏的发展、大银川的建设以及对外经济、文化交往有关，也就顺意了。
值此再版付梓之时，我还要再次感谢张贤亮同志，他在本书首版之时，抽出宝贵时间阅读了诗集并写了序言，给了我很多指教和鼓励；感谢外办郭虎同志，是他组织了一流的专业人员进行英文翻译并邀请外界名流进行修改润色，使本书得以中英文对照形式再版并与世界读者见面；也要感谢出版社的编辑和我的同事们，他们为这本诗集的出版倾注了心血，给予了诸多帮助。在此，我一并表示深深的敬意和谢意。

Just before the publication of this "Collection of Poems "，I should express my sincere thanks to some of my friends either working in literature or publishing circle.Considering the fact that poems，unlike prose or other literature forms，have their own styles and forms，I therefore for quite a long time hesitate to make the final decision in the publishing issue.But upon considering the fact that this is a kind of a sort-out of my past years'work，considering the fact that the footnotes contained make the book more readable and knowledgeable，and also because of the encouragement and spur I get from my friends and colleagues，I am then full of courage in ****** publication of this book.
Frankly speaking，I like to cut out the superfluous and make things simplified both in my daily life and work as well.The same is true with writing.In writing，what I only pursue is concise and coherent.Although the writings present before you are in form of poems，I did not strictly follow their rules and forms，to say nothing of tonal patterns，antithesis and rhymes.Therefore，the pursuit of being ****** in language，concise in rhythm and smooth in reading are the only targets in my writings.But as a whole，this is a kind of humble writing from the perspective of a leading official as result of years'of impression，survey and understanding to the nature，to the history，to the society and to our times.
During the process of publishing this book，I always delayed to make the sorting out work as result of my being always buried in the public work，and consequently this makes some of my friends urge me time and again.Here，I should express my heartfelt thanks to Mr.Zhnag Xianliang，chairman of the Ningxia Writers'Association，for his taking valuable time in reading this poem collection，putting forward some suggestions and also on purpose writing the Preface for this collection.It is his encouragement and spur that make me full of confidence in publishing this collection.Thanks should be given to Mr.Guo Hu，director of the Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office，for his organizing the best-quality personnel in conducting the translation work and revise work.Because of his work，the book is now understandable to the world readers.Thanks should also be given to those personnel working in the Publishing House and my other colleagues working in the government departments.It is their energetic support and spur that make the publication of the book possible，and I am grateful to the both.
